→Passenger statistics changed

International transit passengers (passenger connecting to another international flight) were conventionally counted as one through arrival to departure. However this has been changed to conform with international standards and each transit passenger is now counted as one arrival and one departure (i.e. as two passengers). This effectively doubles the figures previous reported and applies retrospectively to the opening of the airport. Year on year figures, monthly year on year figures and aggregate totals are being revised to conform with this change.
